Teacher-Whole Class
This is a great way to introduce that activity with the class. Display one set of words on the board and have students describe the words and the teacher guesses what they are describing. Try not to look at the words when they are displayed. You can use the sample lists the first time using the activity.
Student - Student
This is a great way to review vocabulary but more importantly have 50% of the class speaking and listening during this activity. Have students stand face to face where one student can see the displayed words. Teacher will set a timer for each set of words. Once the timer goes off the student pair will rotate positions and then a new set of words will be displayed. Choose the appropriate ratio of content words and fun words depending on your class.
Team - Team
Split the classroom into two teams. One team will send a student to the front of the class to be the guesser. The guesser team will shout out descriptions while the other team sits quietly and waits. Keep score of how many words were correctly guessed during the round.
